PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

## How to use this tool.

Translate a completed run or a planned time into average pace per kilometer or mile.

1. Enter the distance and select its unit.
2. Enter the total minutes and additional seconds.
3. Read the pace per unit and average speed in the matching unit.

### A worked example.

A 5 km run in 30 minutes gives a pace of 6:00 per km and an average speed of 10 km/h.

Example inputs illustrate how the tool works.

## Know what the numbers mean.

Pace is total time divided by distance; speed is distance divided by hours. Pace is rounded to the nearest second. Choose consistently between elapsed time and moving time when comparing runs; hills and stops are not modeled.

Your inputs stay in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to Brock. Reloading resets your inputs.
